  • May 18, 1967 – In Mexico, schoolteacher Lucio Cabanas begins guerrilla warfare in Atoyac de Alvarez.
  • May 19, 1967 – Yuri Andropov becomes KGB chief.
  • May 21, 1967 - Heather Ann Smith born in XXX New Jersey
  • May 22, 1967 - The Monkees release Headquarters, #1 on the album charts for one week until the release of Sgt. Pepper by the Beatles.
  • February 1969 – Eats snow off the side of the house.  Thinks COLD=BAD.
  • August 15, 1969 – Woodstock Music Festival begins in upstate New York.
  • October 1, 1971 – Walt Disney World opens in Orlando, Florida
  • December, 1971 – Moves to the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia.  Wears shorts that Christmas.
  • February, 1972 – Hears Father say “Everyone starts out named Smith.  When they screw up they have to change their name.  Spends next several decades trying to find alternate name.
  • May 5, 1973 – Secretariat wins Kentucky Derby.
  • June, 1973 – discovers Edward Gorey’s The Gashlycrumb Tinies.  Memorizes it line by line.  Life changes.
  • July 1974 – During car-trip from Georgia to Maine, draws donkeys obsessively.
  • May 1975 – Receives first set of Legos for birthday.  Spends summer designing house floor plans out of Legos.
  • January, 1981 – Hears Adam and the Ants for the first time.  Vows to marry Adam Ant.  Starts practicing signing name “Heather Goddard”.
  • September, 1981 – doesn’t feel comfortable in high school art class.  Spends the next 25 years doing art in secret.
  • October, 1981 – Due to an unfortunate henna accident, hair turns bright orange.  Decides the look works. 
  • January, 1983 – Under the influence of Maddog 20/20 and The Eurythmics, decides to shave head.  Chickens out halfway thru resulting in back & sides shaved, top long.  Starts trend among the other New Wavers at Norcross High School and keeps look for next 3 years.
  • September, 1984 – Starts Senior year determined to have new persona.  Tries to convince everyone to call her Annie.  Idea does not take off.  Gets called Spike instead.
  • June, 1985 – Graduates from Norcross High School.  To this day, not sure if really should have diploma due to failing grades in every math class.
  • April, 1986 – enters Marine Corp boot camp at Parris Island South Carolina.  Required to grow out hair and adopt a conservative appearance.
  • February, 1987 – Stationed at Camp Hansen in Kin, Okinawa Japan.  Spends off-time at the park drawing Japanese dogs (which oddly enough look just like American dogs).
  • November, 1987 – Visits Gyeongbokgung in Seoul Korea.  Feels sense of peace.
  • January 7, 1988 – receites The Gashlycrumb Tinies for then-boyfriend.  Never hears from him again.
  • March 30, 1990 – honorable discharge from the Marine Corp; enters collage first as a Fine Arts major, then as a Commercial Photography major.  Still has issues sharing personal art with others.
  • December 1999 – discovers Slotin’s Folk Art.  Starts to feel more comfortable with personal artistic style.
  • June, 2000 – Meets Other Half.  Feels complete and finds a there-to unknown confidence.
  • February 2001 – reads book about the history of Korea during the Chosŏn period.  Sees the word ‘noye’ in references to the skilled craftsman of that period.  Adopts the name in artist signature.  Never able to find word again in Korean to English translators.
  • Summer 2010 - Published in Art Journals Book "Many Hearts, Many Lands"
  • December, 2010 – Published in the AFP Amanda Palmer Tarot Deck.
